EYE EXAMINATIONS

Free NHS and Private comprehensive eye examinations for all the family, with hourly appointment slots, digital retinal imaging, 3D OCT (optical coherence tomography 3D imaging), contact lenses, prescription sports eyewear (including swimming, cycling, skiing, diving, racket sports and many more), sunglasses and spectacle frames.

Enhanced reading assessments and coloured overlays are available for children and adults with reading difficulties or visual stress ( more details at readez.co.uk )

LARGE FRAME SELECTION

With hundreds of frames to choose from for all the family, they cover a wide range from budget to designer with brands such as Silhouette, Reykjavik, sea2see, Etnia Barcelona, Johann von Goisern, Menrad, Radley, Botaniq, Charles Stone New York, O’Neill, Calvin Klein, William Morris, Moleskine, Jaguar, Jaeger, Jasper Conran, Paul Costelloe, LK Bennett, Flexon, Titanflex, Freeform Green, Progear Optical, Superlite, Walter and Herbert (one of the few brands to be designed, tested and hand-made in England), alongside many more, and with more to follow!

Spectacle frames start at £10, and free complete spectacles (including frame and lenses) are available for children and adults eligible under the NHS.

HOURLY APPOINTMENTS

With hourly appointment slots there is ample time for a comprehensive eye examination, to sit and discuss options and fully consider the results and recommendations, whilst never feeling rushed. You will have time to build a rapport with your optometrist, allowing us to better understand your needs and requirements.

FAMILY OPTOMETRIST

We are a local family business. Ian, Tina and family have lived in Dore for many years, with their children attending the local schools. Ian has been Dore’s local mobile Optician for over 20 years, fully qualified over 30 years, and is now bringing his brand of personal, friendly and professional eye care into Dore Optician. Having lived as part of the Dore Village community for many years, we support local charities by donating a proportion of all sales, as well as donating second hand glasses to Vision Aid Overseas.

EYE TESTS AT HOME

We continue to provide mobile eye care in the comfort of your own home. For those who are unable to leave home without help, or for those who prefer it, we provide personal and professional eye care throughout Sheffield and North Derbyshire.
